Sonny Sharrock was often thought of as the "Pharoah Sanders of the guitar," so it was quite fitting that one of his finest recordings is this matchup with Sanders, bassist Charnett Moffett and drummer Elvin Jones. This fiery outing was also very good for Sanders who, after many years of recording more lyrical material in the John Coltrane vein, returned to his prime early form with ferocious solos that match the intensity of Sharrock's.
