Laswell's new label 'Nagual' has launched with three releases - the long awaited Praxis album 'Profanation', Bill Laswell + Fanu's 'Lodge' and Method of Defiance's 'Inamorata' featuring a live bonus track. The rub? Right now Nagual is only available through Columbia Japan. No word on US/Europe releases for the first two albums.

Finally some discography updates. Method of Defiance, Dorian Cheah, Outland 5, Sigillum S, Raiz, Nine Inch Nails, Laswell/Musso/Carter and Transonic.

- Robert Musso has a website up and running which has his entire MuWorks catalog and then some available for download. Very reasonable prices and great quality. Show some love. Also shirts available for both his and Laswell's projects. According to the site, he will be putting up more albums from both himself and friends over time. Musso Music.

- Anil Prasad has sniffed out some new listings (so far only Japanese stores) for the long-delayed Praxis album "Profanation". Release date listed as 1/1/08 but not too much other info yet.

- Apparently Brutal Calling II is in it's embryonic stages. Laswell teams again with Submerged with additional sounds from Mark Filip. Sometime in 2008.

- Santana has also mentioned in a recent interview that his next project is a 3CD set entitled "The Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost" revolving around John Coltrane, Bob Marley and Marvin Gaye. Production by Laswell.

- November 20 marked the release of 2 Laswell related releases.

- The Nine Inch Nails remix album is due out. The CD features on remix of "Vessel" by Laswell. A triple vinyl version will also be releases, which features the remix that is on the CD as well as another remix of the same tune. 3 mixes were done, no word on if the other will ever come out.

- Violinist Dorian Cheah will be releasing an album on Meta that features Karsh Kale, Zakir Hussain and other. Produced by Laswell. Meta mentioned a while back that there were two Cheah releases coming, but no sign of the other yet.

- The Bernie Worrell documentary 'Stranger on Earth' has been released on DVD. Interviews featured are Laswell, George Clinton and a host of others.

PAST NEWS:

- Method of Defiance's 'Inamorata' is finally here! This is a killer release. It's available through the usual places, or try it straight from the distributor http://www.darla.com. The follow-up (last I heard it would be under the Method of Defiance moniker) should be out the beginning of 2008 n Karl Records. Laswell/Fanu/Haynes/Worrell/Molvaer.

- Laswell has done 3 mixes of the NIN tune 'Vessel'. Supposedly mix #2 will be released on a single soon. Laswell has also remixed a recent Ozzy Osbourne tune, but there is no release information as of yet.

- Laswell has contributed to Sigillum S' '23/30' anniversary release. It's out now on Eraldo Bernocchi's own VCP label. CD and 2x12" with overlapping tracks as well as some tracks on each that are not found on the other format. Direct order from http://www.myspace.com/sigillums

- Raiz's new solo album 'Uno' is also just out. It includes a second disc of remixes. Production by Bernocchi. Contributions from Laswell. I don't have any info on the remixes just yet...

- Laswell is supposedly in the midst of a large-scale soundtrack project. That's all I know, but hopefully we'll hear more about it soon.

- Somma live from 2001, a bootleg that's been circulating for quite some time, is being given an official release on Eraldo Bernocchi's VCP label. You can order it through the Somma Myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/sommaproject. Just follow the Paypal link. The sound is amazing and the packaging is absolutely beautiful. Show some love for VCP.

- "The Mindscape of Alan Moore', a British movie has been released on DVD (try it in Google for the link). You can get it on region free DVD from the movie company. Laswell and Spectre are listed for providing additional music, though in what context I don't know yet.

- The new Submerged release "Stars Lights The End" is now out on Sublight Records. Toshinori Kondo, Laswell, Guy Licata...hell, it's worth it without Laswell on there. Kurt's busted his ass over the years to put a great label together. Show some love.

- Karl Records will be releasing later this year a killer new project featuring Fanu, Laswell, Bernie Worrell, Graham Haynes and Nils Petter Molvaer.

- Supposedly a new Death Cube K is also done and ready to go, possibly on Tzadik. Buckethead, Laswell, Submerged amongst possibly some others.
